Rheumatology

What makes Northwest Hospital’s rheumatology services so effective for so many patients is a proactive, multi-disciplinary approach to care. Our team of experts at The Seattle Arthritis Clinic specializes in the medical diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal and inflammatory illnesses, from the most visible to the highly complex and unseen, including arthritis, osteoporosis and autoimmune diseases.

We work closely with each patient to develop an individualized program to meet his or her specific needs, drawing on a combination of proven clinical methods, leading edge treatments and techniques and the latest research. We offer a range of services that help patients find the answers they need to return to living the life they enjoy, including lab services, x-ray and other diagnostic imaging tools, bone density testing and infusion and IV services.

In addition to our physicians and nurses, nutrition and counseling experts are also an integral part of the rheumatology team. They work directly with patients and their other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated, high-quality care. We also teach patients how to self-manage stress and pain while working to improve diet and other environmental factors that impact their conditions. The goal is to help them optimize their health, manage their pain and increase their sense of control over their own treatment.
